Introduction 

Eupatorium japonicum, called in Chinese bai tou po, is a herbaceous plant species in Asteraceae. It is native to China, Japan and Korea. Eupatorium japonicum is a herbaceous perennial growing 50–200 cm tall from short rhizomes with many fibrous roots. The stems are upright and marked with purplish red, ending with simple or corymbose, inflorescence that branch near their ends.
